ABSTRACT

The objective of this research has been to explore the intemationalisation of business services and in doing so to establish factors which influence the manner in which intemationalisation occurs. The ultimate aim being to develop a framework within which to explain the multinationalisation of business service firms. An examination of the theoretical literature in the early chapters of this book enabled a model for the intemationalisation of service firms to be tentatively proposed and forwarded for empirical testing. Having completed a detailed exploration of the intemationalisation of the business services sector in the past three chapters, through the use of both primary and secondary sources, it is now possible to reconsider the aims and objectives of the research. The model developed in Chapter 5 will be elaborated upon in order to provide a framework to explain the multinational development of business service firms.
