ABSTRACT
In this chapter another kind of problems is evaluated. They are in between process engineering an operation research. The aim is to select the allocation of facilities for the optimal supply of final products. The availability and allocation of raw materials, the storage of intermediate and final products and demand satisfaction are the major constraints. A couple of examples are presented, a simple steady state model and a multi period optimization model with capacity expansion consideration. Both are developed and modelled in GAMS
