ABSTRACT
In the first seven chapters of the book, the Peak Performance Model was outlined along with the tools to implement it. One of the best methods to learn a new tool is to apply the tools to a practical example. This chapter describes a scenario that the authors utilize to explain how the assessment tools are utilized. The scenario describes a significant event that occurred at the Spud’s Chemical Company and the follow-on actions taken by the Spud’s Chemical Company to recover from that major event. The Spud’s Chemical Company recognized the negative impact the event had on both the workers and the community. As a result of the incident, Spud’s Chemical Company lost the trust of the workers and the community. The actions taken by Spud’s Chemical Company will support regaining the trust of both the workers and the community and move the company toward achieving its Peak Performance.
