ABSTRACT
Fan Shaofei, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Ping An Wanjia Healthcare, a subsidiary of Ping An Group, joined the healthcare sector and has become expert in the investment and management of large organizations as well as operation in healthcare organizations. China has achieved tremendous progress in health promotion, but facing multiple challenges. The quality of care remains as an important topic for China’s healthcare system. The Wanjia Hierarchical Accreditation Standards is the tool for standard practices regarding safety and quality in primary level healthcare organizations in the hope of standardizing the healthcare services and establishing the management system through the process of aligning clinics to the requirements. The demands on healthcare and relevant services in China concentrate on the primary level. However, 80% of the resources are centralized in the cities, among which, 80% are in the large and medium size hospitals.
