ABSTRACT

There are almost as many types of structures, policies, group agreements, and designs as there are online groups, interactive blogs, etc. As with all groups, the leader(s) of online groups need to decide who they want as members, define the group’s objectives and goals, and who they will allow to participate. As mentioned earlier in Chapter Four, there are certain standards of what has come to be called basic Netiquette (https://www.albion.com/netiquette/">https://www.albion.com/netiquette/). This is considered the source for basic Netiquette standards. The site provides more detailed information. Some groups choose to be moderated, while others are more laissez-faire. Nevertheless, online group agreements are at least as important as other group agreements.
