ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we will summarise the concepts of the emergence and development of the life stage adolescence presented in Chapter 1 and the theories and research approaches for the analysis of personality development in adolescence in Chapter 2. We will base our conceptual framework on interdisciplinary socialisation theory. In a first step, we will discuss the approach of socialisation theory as a “model of productive processing of reality”. In a second step, we will then summarise the essence of the first two chapters and combine the most important assertions in “maxims on personality development in adolescence”.
