ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we turn to another developmental task of adolescence which we described in Chapter 1 as consumption. We begin with the important role that friends and peers play today for leisure time and relaxation and then discuss leisure and media offers, which require an autonomous and confident handling by adolescents.
