What Is Presentism?

In Chapter 1, I offer an opinionated characterisation of presentism, the view to be defended across the rest of the book, and I respond to two main lines of objection to the effect that presentism cannot be adequately characterised. I say that presentism is the view that, necessarily, it is always the case that only present entities exist and what is present really changes.
