ABSTRACT
There is a new term in modem software-engineering which becomes more and more important: User-Participation. The consideration of the end-user of a computer system during the development process underwent a serious change: from using the users as information source only for defining the functionality of the system towards an interactive process of combined organisational and system development. The following article will analyse the organisational conditions under which computer systems have to be developed. This leads to a critical assessment of the possibilities of user participation.
