ABSTRACT

School staff can be thought of in terms of three groups according to the nature of their involvement in the project. They are: those concerned with planning and implementing the project programme in their school; those involved in teaching certain aspects of the project programme - these included some of those in the group above; and those not involved in the organisation or teaching of the project. The headteacher and senior staff questionnaire was designed to obtain a considered assessment of the effects which the project was thought to have had on the school over the three year period 1978–81. Most of the courses, modules or activities had been in operation, at least in some form, for three years, that is, since the beginning of the project, and all but three were being offered in the fourth year (1981/82).
