ABSTRACT

We have found an efficient way of guanidine methacrylate synthesis (single-stage). It were studied methods of synthesis (meth)acryloyl guanidine by reacting guanidine with an acid chlorides, methyl(meth)acrylates, and appropriate acids. Polymerization of guanidine methacrylate and 200methacryloyl guanidine hydrochloride was studied under different conditions; a number of kinetics parameters were identified. It was shown high thermal stability, and presence of biocidal properties of the polymers with absence of toxicity. These polymers may be used as biocide substances.
