ABSTRACT

The ethos of a school should support the school's policy of equal opportunity by countering stereotypes and prejudice, reducing the effects of discrimination and helping pupils to accept and understand social diversity. The children have equality of opportunity and, as for the rest of the curriculum; assessment of progress in hydrotherapy is criterion-referenced and recorded. Aromatherapy has provided all our students with equality of opportunity to relax, to communicate and to feel valued. Opportunities to touch and be touched in appropriate settings had to address in school. Training opportunities focused on the need to examine our own views as teachers, and as individuals, about living in a multicultural world, promoting gender-free education and providing students with information and understanding about their own sexuality. The ability to experience and handle emotions, to love and to be loved, to give and to receive, to choose and to reject, and to respect and be respected are some of the more important of human qualities.
