ABSTRACT
The new alternatives for construction designs seek to offer more sustainable alternative concepts where the environment is integrated to generate comfort and well-being. The most innovative concept in the construction is where the options of a roof garden are integrated, as a new way of being sustainable in the buildings. This case study discusses various roof garden concepts and also proposals to design roof gardens using a cultural algorithm. The results determine the best proposal in a group and the designs generate similar groups of behavior and common characteristics. Various simulated and experimental results are presented which show that the proposed design gives better solutions compared to others.
