ABSTRACT

In India amniocentesis, the sampling of the fluid bathing the foetus in the womb, has been massively abused. Rather than employing it properly for the detection of important abnormalities and hereditary diseases, its most frequent use has been to check the sex of the unborn child. Boys who are neglected and brutalized as children, develop no feelings of conscience or pity for the weak, and readily become involved in violent crime and sadistic behaviour at home. Those who have been sexually as well as physically abused are a particular danger to others all their lives, sometimes starting as young as 13. All-male boarding schools, including the most prestigious, aim to toughen up their pupils. They provide opportunities for bullying and sexual exploitation of the younger boys, who may act similarly to their tormentors as they rise in the school.
