ABSTRACT

This chapter considers methodological issues relevant to testing the hypotheses, including: research setting, variables and their measurement, sampling plan, data collection, and data analysis techniques. It explains the sampling plan for the exploratory and primary research including a sample description, a method for selecting the sample, and its required size. The chapter provides a summary of the administration plan for the data collection. Although worded for BOQ administration, the same general plan was followed for the VOQ. Artificial intelligence tools began to be introduced into BOs in 1984 and have quickly moved through the various stages of the product life cycle. The chapter also provides an overview of data analysis techniques used to investigate the hypothesized relationships. It highlights descriptive statistics that were run on the VOQ variables.
