ABSTRACT

Action team members are individuals in the agencies and schools who may already be working together in some capacity. Certain agencies are necessary to assemble an effective action team. Often, there is a current collaboration in the county that can be utilized in recruiting potential team members. Contact the coordinators of the meetings and request a time to visit and present the vision of creating an Education Action Team. The first members of the Douglas County Education Action Team were able to present to the Douglas County 1451 Interagency Oversight Group (IOG) to invite further partners. The IOG serves as an Oversight Board to support implementation within their respective agencies for any procedural changes or training produced by the action team. Once the initiator is ready, schedule a date, time, and location to convene the first Education Action Team meeting to then plan for initial focus groups and strategize ways to recruit further members.
