ABSTRACT

The following eight chapters focus on a variety of ways of developing services and their responsiveness. This Part of the book goes beyond the organisational structures and the support of the workforce to consider some of the issues of service content. Drawing, as it does, on our experience in Manchester, this is the most selective part of the book: other aspects could have been chosen. However, the variety in this section again underlines the broad remit of learning disability services, with their responsibility to enhance many aspects of their users' lives.
