ABSTRACT

Acknowledging the importance of fostering new business creation, public and private institutions are offering a growing number of programmes that focus on entrepreneurship and small business. R. Ronstadt postulates that entrepreneurship is a process during which a certain number of risks are taken and that successful entrepreneurs possess a wide range of skills and personal characteristics. The teaching of entrepreneurship being of relatively interest, the various approaches are at the experimental stage. The problem associated with programme evaluation is not specific to entrepreneurship education, but applies to all training programmes. In spite of certain limits, television can play an important role in distance education. Television, on the other hand, offers multiple possibilities for presenting the content. The chapter seeks to compare the various approaches in teaching entrepreneurship that use the media with the more traditional ones, so as to identify the key differences of the objectives pursued and the target clientele.
