ABSTRACT

Lubricating oil is mainly used in enclosed gear trains. There are quite different values in the literature for the time of changing the lubricating oil. It should be borne in mind that the oil ages very fast as the temperature increases, especially above 60°C. Since gear trains lubrication issues are very specific, it is the best to use oil-producer data as well as specialized literature. During planetary gear train operation, the planets splash into the oil and spray it, giving ubiquitous lubrication. In addition to spraying, lubrication can be facilitated by additional attachments, such as spreading rings or rockers. There are quite different values in the literature for the time of changing the lubricating oil.
