ABSTRACT
Sufficiency in the moment-there is no evolutionary quest for perfection. Evolution does not have an end point; natural selection favours those that are ‘good enough’ by selecting against those that are decient in present circumstances. What qualies as good enough is likely to change in unexpected and unpredictable ways over time and space. Species are participants in, not products of, evolution.
