ABSTRACT
This chapter will consider the role of the Internet in facilitating the formation and maintenance of relationships between offenders engaging in various acts of crime and delinquency on and off-line. The theoretical frameworks used to study subcultures will be explored, as will the nature of subcultures and their meaning for offenders who engage in crime in both real and virtual environments.
