ABSTRACT
Not just on jobs, AI will have a significant impact on many other facets. There are some big names from academia and industry who are worried about the existential threat AI poses. Since advanced AI uses algorithms that are more complex than is comprehensible by the human brain, it could be a threat. This could be true even when the scientists behind this technology are human and in control of this technology. If intelligent machines soon become ubiquitous in the world, it is imperative that there be regulations by a representative body that can oversee the development and deployment of AI. AI needs to be regulated to ensure that it remains under the control of humans. In addition, there is always a chance of rogue state or non-state actors who could use it to damage humanity. AI in the wrong hands can lead to disaster.
