ABSTRACT

When we draw the joint, we want to draw it in the window that faces the main rotation angle. In any window, select Skeleton>Create Joints and click a couple of times to draw three to four joints. There is an order to fixing the rotational axis. The order depends on how the joint is going to animate. Select the Spine1 and in object mode select Joint>Orient Joint. Use the default settings. The spine moves all together in a forward kinematic motion, so all of the Zs should at least be in the same direction. In object mode select each spine joint and rotate all of them in Z. The spine should curve nicely forward and back. Click on each of the joints to see what their assignment looks like, and adjust to get a good blend between the assignments of each joint.
