ABSTRACT

The word potpourri has a number of interesting definitions both in Merriam-Webster and also in Larousse, the standard French-language dictionary, as its origins are in French and it has been transported to English. The purpose of this chapter is to assemble a number of small nuggets of varying types of information about cybersecurity, in particular: the Department of Justice classification of cyberattacks, distributed denial of service, the “magical number seven”, strategies for good password choice, password creation videos, and password meters.
