ABSTRACT

A great number of specifirties, principles, and patterns of establishment and mechanisms of displacement characterizes landslides in rock soils (rock landslides). In some instances, such landslides have significant differences in comparison with landslides that are formed in lithified and non-lithified soil’s columns or compound massifs. The last one is characterized by dispersed, cohesive, semi rock and rock soils interbedding (Zerkal, 2016).

The present work is devoted to consideration of landslides that are formed in rock soils and also quantity stability assessment of rock slopes. Rocscience is the only one program suite, which allows solving the problem of rock slopes stability within a uniform “ecosystem” at present. Rocscience also considers the mechanism of rock landslides formation and the sliding plane structure authorities. The main slant on the modelling will be posed in this article. The examples and application instructions of Swedge, Slide RS in quantity stability assessment of rock slopes will be given.
