ABSTRACT
The constant technological evolution and change of the 1970s and 1980s has seen the Information Technology horse pull the business and organisational cart forward at an ever increasing pace. As we enter the 1990s the pace of change is quickening to such an extent that the now enlightened cart is in danger of overtaking the horse in its ever more sophisticated demands.
