ABSTRACT

In the previous chapters, we walked the journey from the description of the functioning of the society in socialist Czechoslovakia, via the Marxist-Leninist ideology, the application of this ideology into the formal settings of the Czechoslovak model, the everyday functioning of the economy, and up to the economic outcomes. The transformation between the respective tiers created problems of its own and sowed the seeds of the economic outcomes. This chapter presents the general conclusions of our analysis.
