Chapter 8 specifically discusses the implications of the answers provided to the research questions and suggests directions for future research. It also insists on the relevance of cultural specificities to understand different approaches to counterterrorism, proposing further elements for generalising the collected findings on France and Italy to other countries and, potentially, to other security threats.
