ABSTRACT

This chapter is about a fascinating species of human, the Neanderthals. Although they are a different species than we are, there is evidence that interbreeding between us occurred. Fossils of this now extinct species were popping up in Europe and the Middle East area even before Darwin wrote Origin of the Species. We know a lot about Neanderthals due to the numerous fossil finds. This means that we can draw conclusions about them from data instead of merely speculating.
