ABSTRACT
After reading Greg and Lottie’s story, I drew a genogram, as this always helps me in my thinking. I found myself starting by drawing Greg, Georgina, and their two girls. This struck me as significant, given the presenting problem, which is described in terms of Lottie feeling she lives in Georgina’s shadow, something that is later reframed by the therapist as a shared problem. “It’s possible that you both feel disturbed about having to live with a shadow, in the fog.”
