ABSTRACT
Manufacturing high-quality lubricants in a blending plant is a waste of time unless the resulting products can be delivered to customers with the quality intact. This requires the lubricants to be filled correctly into packages, of several types, ready for distribution and delivery.
Chapter 12 aims to describe and review the main methods, and their benefits, for packaging and handling lubricants. This will help to ensure that the right lubricant, free from contamination, reaches the point of application. It will also help to avert unsafe working conditions, fire hazards and pollution. Overall, correct lubricant packaging, handling and storage will help achieve maximum operating efficiency by blending plants, for the ultimate benefit of customers.
