ABSTRACT

This concluding chapter summarises the main themes of the book and outlines the strengths and potential weakness of the RRM. The concept of ‘homeliness’ is introduced, suggesting that the anxieties associated with the method are transcended when there is a sense of security, both intellectual and personal. The concluding claim is that the RRM provides a ‘homely’ entrée into research for psychoanalytic practitioners, and an accessible window into the unconscious for qualitative researchers.
