ABSTRACT

Many types of business communications can be classified as technical writing. These include resumes, transmittal notes, letters of reference, meeting agendas and minutes, press releases, presentations, and various kinds of customer relations writing and marketing and sales materials. Chapter 5 gives rules and best practices for these types of writing. Often this type of technical writing is conducted by nontechnical persons. Therefore, this chapter will be of particular importance to the nontechnical writer. Many examples and vignettes are also included.
