ABSTRACT

The Christological dimension is essential in Trinitarian ontology because the absolute difference between the ontological plane of God and that of the world implies that access to the Mystery is possible only through the incarnation of the Son of God. The Christological dimension of Trinitarian ontology requires to seek relation in the world as its logos. In Piero Coda’s proposal, Trinitarian ontology is essentially a view on reality that springs from the Trinitarian perspective disclosed to man in the paschal event of the death and resurrection of Christ. Any doctrine of the Trinity cannot aim at being a perfect comprehension of God. From the perspective of the Trinitarian ontology developed by the Fathers, the surplus dimension is based on the ontological density of relation that emerges from another dimension with respect to those that unite, but from a dimension that is absolutely real as they are.
