ABSTRACT
This chapter explores what being a freelancer or a contractor means and how it can differ or be similar to being an entrepreneur. Some people freelance as a way to make money in addition to their full-time employment; others freelance as way to launch a new business or as their main source of income because they love to be their own bosses, set their own hours, and work on a variety of projects at the same time. Successful freelancing takes determination, grit, discipline, and a drive to do the work, and a bit of business know-how. And lastly, freelance work can be found online, through your networks or can be made for yourself with a bit of ingenuity.
