ABSTRACT

A symphony of the Trade facilitation can be played together by all the institutions – public and private, national and international – related to trade facilitation. The Modalities for Negotiations on Trade Facilitation mandated that in order to make technical assistance and capacity building more effective and operational and to ensure better coherence. In 2014, the World Bank, together with other donors, initiated the Trade Facilitation Support Program (TFSP), which 'will focus on the effective implementation of trade facilitation reforms in developing countries to enhance private sector competitiveness, thus leading to increased trade, investments and job creation'. According to the World Customs Organization (WCO), by means of coordinating donor engagement, consolidating the relationship with development partners and taking advantage of the wealthy network of customs experts that spreads over the world, the Program is well equipped to provide technical assistance and capacity building in implementing the Agreements on Trade Facilitation (TFA).
