ABSTRACT
The indication for an injection is often an inflamed joint. This can be the first sign of a more diffuse inflammatory arthritis. Although this book is primarily aimed at enabling the reader to inject joints with confidence and good technique, it is also important for the injector to have some knowledge of this type of condition. The aim of this chapter is to give GPs, nurse specialists and healthcare professionals guidance on the diagnosis and management of inflammatory arthritis.
