ABSTRACT

This is the first policy chapter, and will draw from the entire book, plus any useful examples from case studies, to set forth policy recommendations for technology transformation, modal choice and rider behavior, private land use and development for both reuse of parking structures and new land subdivisions, zoning and parking regulations, public subsidy, and various ethical/indirect effects of driverless vehicle (DV) development during the next 10 to 15 years in the United States, i.e., the transition period.
