ABSTRACT

This chapter presents the data from the interviews of seven narratives of maternal transition. Each story is unique and was constructed by reading, re-reading and reflecting on the interview transcripts. Pseudonyms are used for each mother. An opening title is placed at the beginning of each story to encapsulate the essence of each narrative told. This chapter shows a rich, creative and qualitative piece of work that give ‘voices’ to contemporary motherhood and its vicissitudes.
