ABSTRACT
Dr Bion: I would like to highlight the fact that we already have the observations made by the analyst so we are assuming limited scope. Supervision belongs to what I call analytical game, and I’d rather understand all the psychoanalytical training as a game. It makes us anxious just in the ways games made us anxious in our childhood, but we also find it reassuring because it offers us something to rely on. Obviously, reality is very different, one thing is playing to be a mum or a dad and another thing is being one. What we are doing here is very different from what we will later do with the patient in our offices.
