ABSTRACT
What are the reasons that led Freud to include children’s dreams in the development of his dream theory? Children’s dreams represented for Freud a theoretical exemplification and, at the same time, easy evidence of his hypotheses on dreaming in general. Through children’s dreams, Freud described a series of characteristics (e.g., the dream as wish-fulfilment) that he tried to apply in general to adult dreams.
