ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts covered in the preceding chapters of this book. The book emphasizes the ideas of system and role in contradistinction to character and personality. It looks at the origins of Organizational Role Analysis and some of its further developments. The book stresses the need for intending practitioners to gain reputable training in Organizational role analysis (ORA) method that includes undergoing a role analysis oneself as well as having access to supervised practice. Many executives seek out coaches to improve their skills and personal capacities. Companies often seek coaches for senior staff to improve their role perfomance and hence benefit company overall. Professional coaches provide an ongoing partnership designed to help clients produce fulfilling results in their personal and professional lives. ORA, as described in this book, emphasizes ideas of system and role in contradistinction to character and personality. It is the place of the role in the overall system that is explored.
