ABSTRACT

This is a consultation to the city of Thebes following the unravelling of Oedipus as described in Oedipus Rex (a.k.a. Oedipus the King or Oedipus Tyrannus), a play written by Sophocles around 430–425 BC. The consultation is instigated by the challenge posed for the people of Thebes in terms of managing and processing the impact of Oedipus and his actions on their minds.
