ABSTRACT

Mystics speak of going through many doors, worlds, gates. There are hate frenzies, hate ecstasies, hate unions. Destructive as well as creative mystical participations. Winnicott speaks of positive aspects of illusion and puts in that category much art and religious experience. Beneficial, enriching illusions. Not at all divorced from truth. They enlarge the domain of emotional or perceptual truth. A sense of mysterious connection takes many forms. Concealed and manifest light, concealed of the concealed, mystery of mysteries. Layering of dimensions expressed as limitless One, Infinite beyond number, light so light it is seen as darkness, darkness so dark it is seen as light, nothingness, emptiness. There is a time for constant struggle, to go through things from the bottom up. But there is also a time to rise above it all, to reach the highest point, beyond ones torment and turbulence.
