ABSTRACT
In this chapter, the author focuses on evaluation and brief treatment of a couple who attended analytic couple therapy. He includes the analyst's revelation of his fantasies and emotions in relation to the material as it shifted from session to session during the brief time that the treatment lasted. Juan and Rosa are of low socioeconomic status. Juan is a plumber who has lost his job, and Rosa works sporadically when a job turns up. They came for therapy with Felix Velasco once a week, for a forty-five-minute session. The author videotaped the vast majority with the couple's consent, and so he has reproduced the selected written material verbatim. At the end of each session, the author filmed the analyst's immediate impressions and included those at the end of the description of each session in this case report.
