ABSTRACT

This chapter aims to explore precisely this very painful side of life within the institution, and to try to understand what the main consequences are. Every company is bruising; even more, without appropriate regulation, it can become murderous. Then, a strong propensity towards assuaging appears. Yet, revelation can alleviate suffering and heal, or even, to a certain extent, prevent, the wounds. Thus, revelation and reparation are not only different notions, but both originate from different ethics, aesthetics, and methodology. The bruising company is the one that truly recognizes and regulates the anxiety needed for its creativity; but, as far as possible, it must keep from excess. Thus, it recognizes the wounds caused by this anxiety. As in the example of the bruising institution, the wounds caused by the murdering institution generate feelings of guilt and accusation, towards managers particularly.
