Learning from experience and the experience of learning in Group Relations Conferences

My immediate thought when invited to give this keynote paper was that, had Eric Miller been alive, he would probably have been standing here instead of me. So, whilst I was explicitly invited here in my own right, I also feel that I am representing Eric’s absence as well as the powerful presence of his work and influence, which lives on in me and I am sure, in many of you. He taught us well.
