ABSTRACT

Some of the most frequently experienced physical symptoms of people in anxiety or stress are headaches and migraines. There are many other symptoms of stress, but these seem to top the list. Headaches are usually experienced as an ache or pain in the head, or as if there is a tight band around the head. High levels of positive ionization, as found near high voltage electrical equipment, or from some types of neon lighting, or just before a thunderstorm, can cause headaches. Migraines can last from between four hours and three days. Sometimes people experience symptoms several hours before the migraine actually starts: these can be a warning "aura" before the migraine starts, or feelings of tiredness, sometimes even bursts of energy, or food cravings. Migraines are usually triggered by a combination of different factors. The most common triggers are: lack of food, change in sleeping patterns, hormonal changes, neck and head pains, stress, travel, environmental changes, and background stress.
