Besides doing exercise, it is really important to relax as well. However, only try relaxing first thing in the morning, or sometime after one have exercised. Done regularly, this will help them to rebalance their basic bodily functioning, which is what gets overstressed. There are many different ways to relax. Some of them are: progressive relaxation; autogenic therapy; music; warm water; massage; breaks; doing something different; reading, watching films or TV, listening to music or the radio; meditation; and mindfulness. Before people try any relaxation technique, they try to make sure that they are reasonably capable of relaxing. If they are over-stressed, or have just had an argument with their partner or boss, then they will probably not be able to use any technique effectively. They need to take time to cool down emotionally. Perhaps they need to do some exercise, or workout, first, and burn some of those stress hormones off.
