ABSTRACT

Integrative Gestalt Practice (IGP) is an integrative framework for a variety of ways of practising gestalt work. IGP is both an organising framework and a practical approach for integrating parts of the complexity in the various forms of therapy and combining them. The gestalt process diagnostic and the systematised field analysis offer a basis for developing a shared language and a shared understanding in relation to applied psychology and its theoretical foundations. Through organismic self-regulation, the individual ascribes meaning to, and influences, his or her environment, and in this process the environment also co-shapes the individual. It is important for this self-regulation to experience meaningfulness and coherence in the four quadrant perspectives: to be able to think and feel (UL), and act (UR) in a context where one is able to influence one's own conditions (LR), and participate in shared meaning making (LL).
